What is best midi controller to control traktor transport functions. As i still want to use normal mixer?
I want to be able to control traktor 2.6 with midi in conjunction with normal dj set up, Have seen bcd-3000 but have heard of complications with set up. I already using numark ttx decks (i think they kickass over technics) and numark mixer which has some very effects and great feel and would like to keep using.. As I,ve recently bought a house and have a beautiful 7 month girl, so being able to spend cash on vinyl is not possible. MP3′s are cheap. M-audio make nice midi but has features i dont need and not enough that i do.. eg pitch and transport are good but no buttons for sync and loop. any thoughts appreciated thanks
Actually the BCD3000 was just registered as ‘Traktor Ready’, so there should be no worries on that front. Vestax just released the VCI-100, which looks like the first truly Traktor-dedicated controller. Check it out here: http://www.vestax.com/v/products/players/vci100.html
Personally, I’ve gotten used to using my mouse & keyboard shortcuts, so I can’t make any recommendations based from experience, but the NI forums (http://www.native-instruments.com/forum_us/forumdisplay.php?f=105) have great resources from people that have tried everything in the book.
